L.I: WALT visualise
Today Kakariki were reading a poem called Pureora, written by Hirini Melbourne. Our reading comprehension strategy was 'visualise'. After reading the poem, we made a Quilt using paper and we had to draw a part of the poem which we visualised. On the outside we had to write a phrase from the poem, which represented our visualisation.
Eg. Swinging like a spider;
attached by an umbilical cord from its web;
billowing about in the breeze.

Well done Kakariki for showing your creative responses to our reading comprehension strategy 'visualisation'.
ReplyDeleteHow did this comprehension strategy further your deeper understandings of the message, the author was expecting his audience to get from the choice of language used?
