"Where did it go"? screamed the crowd as the shot put sailed away. Valarie Adams had thrown her first shot so far that it had gone right out of the stadium.
The next competitor stomped up and flung the shot put away at the speed of an arrow. "Yeah Yeah", she yelled proudly. "That's gold for sure" squealed the commentator. Belarus goes for the win.
Valarie Adams won the silver medal for New Zealand, everyone was so proud. Well, most people. Some greedy people were sad Valarie Adams didn't get Gold.
A few days later, the Olympic officials rang Valarie, there had been a mistake. At the medal ceremony they tested their breath and they found that the competitor from Belarus had been taking drugs so she got disqualified and Valarie Adams got the Gold.
A long time after this Valarie Adams' grandchild called Adam was walking home from school. He saw a white glimmer in a bush near by. He picked it up and he said "man this is heavy". When he got home his mum asked him with amazement, "where did you get that, that's your Nanas shot put".

Zavier, well done for your narrative story about Valarie Adams. I have enjoyed your chosen language to infer your message (show not tell), such as ...as the shot put sailed away, and ...he saw a white glimmer .. Fantastic Zavier. Keep it up. Mrs Grant
